The Vue-LV-15 is a high performance, low cost 15A, 2.5V laser diode controller based on a powerful new microprocessor. The Vue-LV uses a precise crystal oscillator time base for direct computer control of the switching power stage and a patent-pending software algorithm that produces extremely low noise current without dangerous overshoots or start-up delays.

This new product utilizes large scale IC’s to reduce the number of components in the system and increase the overall reliability. It features an all digital control system that eliminates the need for analog components such as op-amps, capacitors and resistors that form timing circuits and servo loop time constants. The result is a more accurate and reliable system that holds calibration over a wide range of environmental conditions and over longer periods of time.

The controller provides laser diode safety monitoring, performs user programmed operations and can operate as a component in a computer controlled system. As a component the LV-15 independently monitors and maintains the safety of the laser diode while the host computer can set and measure all of the operating parameters of the driver.

The Vue-LV is available as a PCB assembly for embedded applications or as part of the OEM Developer’s kit which includes: a packaged PCB, 5V DC power supply, mating connectors for laser output and signal I/O, USB cable and WinVue user interface software. The Developer’s Kit turns an OEM solution into a bench top controller that helps you to accelerate your product development. Plus, using the same controller in development and production means faster time-to-market and lower development costs.
